Sake rice 'Sake Future' is a new sake rice created by Tadao Takagi, the 14th generation owner of Takagi Sake Brewery, over 18 years, completed in 1999. 'Sake Future' was developed by crossing the parent rice varieties of Miyama Nishiki from Nagano Prefecture and Yamada Nishiki, with the aim of establishing a unique sake rice in the Tohoku region, which previously lacked a distinctive sake rice.
