Katsukoma is produced by Seito Sake Brewery, established in 1906 in Toyama Prefecture. The brewery is located in Kyomachi, a little away from the local area of Takaoka. It was named Katsukoma to commemorate the victory in the Russo-Japanese War. Since its founding, the brewery has adhered to the motto 'No Forgery' (not allowing falsehoods) in its sake production. It is a proud sake of our town, Takaoka. The owner of the brewery, Seito, and Nakayama are high school classmates and have a long-standing relationship. For about 30 years, they have worked together diligently to promote Katsukoma. 'Back then, it wasn't even noticed locally, but we persevered with conviction, and that's why we are where we are now!' they both say in unison. The 'Katsukoma New Sake Enjoyment Meeting,' held in conjunction with the release of new sake, has played a significant role in promoting Katsukoma in the local Takaoka area. Currently, it has gained national popularity and has become a rare sake that is hard to obtain. Nevertheless, as a beloved sake of Takaoka, it aims to be enjoyed with handmade meals, without mass production. Sake Meter Value +3, Rice Polishing Ratio 50%, Acidity 1.3, Alcohol Content 16%.
