The distinctive features of 'Bondia' are the buttery aroma, the texture of walnuts, and the rich flavor that is not too sweet. It was created in 1978 to commemorate the sister city relationship between the city of Aviero in Portugal and Oita. 'Bondia' means 'good morning' or 'have a nice day' in Portuguese.
