Cafe Katsudo ☕✨
with Saki
( )
Nice to meet you yesterday, Saki-san!
We went to Mame-rakucho ( ) for lunch.
It's right next door to NOTRE.
There are two kinds of lunch.
One is handmade tofu lunch and the other is tofu lunch made by chance.
The handmade tofu lunch is limited to 10 servings!
It's 400 yen more expensive than the machine-made version, but it's the best choice for you.
From the top left, freshly made tofu with sea bream miso on top, a side dish of vegetables and okara (bean curd), a bowl of tofu, and soup for 1,300 yen.
The freshly made tofu is smooth, mildly warm, and has a wonderful sweetness from the soybeans!
I have never had such delicious tofu before.
The tai miso (soybean paste) on top is also sweet and perfect to go with rice 🍚🙆♀️ The vegetable and okara side dishes also make the most of the ingredients themselves and are very tender and tasty.
The tofu deep-fried ganmodoki is fluffy and delicious.
I want to copy it at home!
But if it's this fluffy, I'm afraid it will fall apart when I fry it💦.
I don't want to steal the technique.
The soup is very well seasoned with dashi broth and lots of other ingredients.
The sweetness of the soup is good. 🙆♀️ And the main dish is a bowl of tofu rice.
The rice was cooked a little hard, like cereal rice, and something like okara (bean curd) was placed between the tofu and the rice.
I like the balance between the soft and smooth tofu and the firmness of the millet rice.
It is served with soy sauce, salt, or yuzu kosho (Japanese citrus pepper) to taste.
The yuzu kosho is quite spicy!
If you don't like spicy food, be careful 😂.
I love spicy food, so I wanted more.
I like it as is or with salt!
I loved the healthy and gentle taste of this dish!
I loved the healthy and mild taste ✨
I'll be back for more!
Next stop is of course sweets💕!
To be continued.
