Ikedaya" is a long-established teppanyaki restaurant visited by retired Ito residents and those who have vacation homes nearby.
It is one of the best restaurants in Ito.
The house restaurant is located in a quiet area about 10 minutes by cab from Ito station.
The service and clientele are first-rate.
The meat is of high quality and domestically produced. My favorite meat. The sirloin also has good fat and a refreshingly delicious taste that lingers.
The filet is also a good lean meat. The more you chew, the more flavorful and delicious it tastes.
The garlic rice is fragrant with shiso leaves and leeks, and has a clean taste. The rice is served in an earthenware teapot with chicken broth, making it twice as tasty.
The teppan overlooks a Japanese garden, which is beautifully illuminated at night.
If you get tired of eating fish in Izu, please stop by this restaurant that has been in business for nearly 30 years.
It is worth a visit even from Tokyo.
We had a lunch of simmered sea bream and sashimi of local fish.
They were very tasty and very satisfying.
The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, and we were able to enjoy our meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
Next time, I would like to visit in the evening and order from the various a la carte menus.
