The yellow koji imo shochu Den Ichigo 'Kurochiyoka' refers to the sake vessel used for directly heating shochu. This vessel, made from Satsuma ware, has a shape that, when viewed from the side, is symmetrical like a soroban (abacus) bead, with the upper half representing Sakurajima and the lower half reflecting the part of Kinko Bay.
