A sweet shop where you can taste as soon as you get off the train in Kyoto | Happy to eat good food! Dinner in Kyoto on this day! I got a coupon ticket to Kyoto, so I took the bullet train to Kyoto. I arrived at Kyoto in 14 minutes! Since we arrived too early, let's go have a cup of tea at a place I've been curious about! Mr. Hosen The main store is highly rated and popular Since it is a branch of the main store, it was almost full even on a weekday evening! The location is JR Kyoto station. It is located inside the Shinkansen ticket gate, so you have to use the Shinkansen or get in with an admission ticket! I was curious about it, but never had a chance to go there. The store has a Japanese confectionery sales corner on the right side and a cafe on the left side. The café space has only table seats. A little flower on the wall is a nice touch! The menu includes matcha green tea, anmitsu (sweet bean paste), and wagashi (Japanese sweets). When you come to a place like this, you must have a set of matcha green tea and Japanese sweets! I ordered seasonal fresh sweets and cold green powdered tea for 1,180 yen! There were three kinds of fresh confections to choose from, but since it was late in the evening, there was only one kind! But since I was planning to choose that one, I was lucky! Was it petals? Wagashi folded like cherry petals! The pale pink color is pretty and spring-like. The gyuhi is just the right amount of softness, and the filling of the sweet bean paste is elegant and not too rich. The sweetness never goes away even after you finish eating it! The matcha green tea goes well with it! It was hot that day, so I decided to go with something cold. The aroma of the matcha tea and the bitterness of the tea went very well with the fresh pastry! There was plenty of it, so you can enjoy it forever! It may be a little rude to call it a place like this, but It is a wonderful place where you can experience the Kyoto-like atmosphere once you get off the Shinkansen! I wish Shin-Osaka would do better! I feel like I'm always saying this line when I'm talking about stations... Simple and gentle @Kyoto | Delicious food and happiness♪ Hosen located in JR Kyoto station, Shinkansen terminal. There is Saryo Hosen, a souvenir shop owned by Hosen-do! It's so Kyoto to have a store like this inside the station! We had a little time to rest at Saryo. I was not in the mood for a parfait or something heavy. I asked for something light. ◾️ Kyo-Shigure 950 yen Kanten (agar) is very light and only a little sweetness! It's so clear and sparkling! I used to think that the Dainagon azuki beans and white azuki beans from Tanba were too much for the sophisticated agar, so if it's this good, I want to eat more of it! Kyo shigure is also available as a souvenir. It's inside the Shinkansen station, so please be careful! Thank you for the food!
