This is a sister product of the same brewery's Kōrui Shochu 'Jōkamachi no Napoleon', and it is on a completely different level from ordinary Kōrui Shochu, making it a highly recommended item. Unlike typical shochu that is bottled and shipped immediately after distillation, 'Hyakunen no Kodoku' is a blend of shochu distilled and aged in white oak barrels for 3, 4, and 5 years, similar to whiskey. Origin: Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture (Ryujin Shuzo) Alcohol content: 16% Made by steeping white Kaga plums from Gunma Prefecture in the popular shochu 'Ginjō Shochu Wafū Hanayama' from Ryujin Shuzo, it is finished without additives and unfiltered to bring out the original flavor of the plums. After one year of aging, it offers a smooth taste with a high citric acid content and a refreshing aftertaste.
