Our signature dish is a colorful arrangement of seasonal ingredients served in a bowl that is a copy of a water jar by Hon'ami Koetsu, an artist of the early Edo period. Our signature bento box lunch box is colorfully decorated with seasonal ingredients. The two-tiered bento includes vegetable stew and grilled fish. Seasonal rice, soup, pickles, and warabimochi rice cake are also included.
Yuba is the "flower of Kyoto cuisine". Kyo yuba is rich in high-quality vegetable protein and minerals. You can enjoy a variety of Kyoto yuba dishes such as yuba sashimi, Toji yuba wrapped with lily bulb and wood ear and deep-fried, burdock Hachiman-maki, fried yuba, and more.
We have prepared for lunch only our signature kaiseki cuisine, reflecting the four seasons of Kyoto, at Otabi-cho Tagotsu. The dishes are moderately sized for lunch and can be enjoyed while sightseeing or shopping.

This is a Kaiseki meal plan specially prepared by Otabimachi Tagotsu, available only on EatLog. In addition, we have reserved a private room where you can relax in comfort. This special bento features a vessel we’re particularly proud of—a replica of a water jar by the early Edo-period artist Hon’ami Kōetsu— carefully crafted by artisans from Otabamachi using carefully selected seasonal ingredients. We’ve packed the delicate flavors unique to Kyoto into small individual dishes, one by one, and arranged them in a visually stunning water jar-shaped container.
