The patacon is a popular Venezuelan sandwich and is made of 2 large and round slices of twice fried green plantains - instead of bread. Ours are filled with your choice of chicken, pork, beef, or sautéed vegetables, and fried tropical white cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and calypso sauce (mayo-ketchup)
Shredded roasted pork, chicharron, served with either arroz con gandules (yellow rice with pigeon peas) or white rice w/ red or black beans & maduros (fried sweet plantains)
Stewed chicken, served with either arroz con gandules (yellow rice with pigeon peas) or white rice w/ red or black beans & maduros (fried sweet plantains)
