Enmusubi Kaiseki Zuitei

Once upon a time, there was a kind-hearted god named Okuninushi. Okuninushi inherited the land of Izumo from his ancestor Susanoo and was to govern it, but a great trial awaited him. He was instructed by Susanoo to find the 'Uchide no Kozuchi' to rule the land, which led him on a journey through various galaxies. There, he encountered eight different worlds.

《Story》As soon as the two gods shook the 'Uchide no Kozuchi', eight galaxies were born before them with a rainbow-colored light. 'Now, go forth,' the two gods told Okuninushi and then vanished somewhere. 《Commitment》The beginning of the story is guided by the 'egg', which is the beginning of all things. Enjoy various seasonal eggs and beautiful glass vessels.

《Story》A bad word spirit flies between two quarreling gods. Then, a beautiful woman appears, holding a word spirit bag and a mallet of fortune. The bad word spirit is sucked into the word spirit bag, and when the woman swings the mallet of fortune, chrysanthemums spread all around, restoring compassion to the two gods. The two gods called the woman 'Kikuri-hime'. 《Commitment》The white soybean paste alone lacks richness. Therefore, we combined a truffle base with our homemade smoked prosciutto, which has been marinated in salt koji, to create depth.

《Story》In a pitch-black world, clang clang. The sound of a small mallet ringing was heard. Suddenly, a flame appeared. I squinted and peered into the flame. Inside, I could see people dancing in a circle around the fire. One of them gradually approached me. They handed me a magatama and hurriedly returned. 《Commitment》This dish is made using abalone offered at Ise Jingu, which enshrines the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, and abalone that has been simmered for a long time, resembling steamed rice, along with 'Okuzumo Nita Rice' from Izumo brand rice.

《Story》Splash, splash. I can feel the water. This is... in the river. I hear a voice from somewhere. As I walk towards the sound, I see Susanoo holding a magical mallet. It seems that he is about to go defeat Yamata no Orochi. As I follow him, in the blink of an eye, he has defeated the Orochi, and before I know it, Susanoo has disappeared. 《Detail》The scales of the eight-headed serpent, which are described in the Kojiki as 'covered in moss and cypress,' are represented with blue seaweed paste.

《Story》 "The mallet is... where..." "Right here, in the tamatebako." When I opened my eyes, there was a large dragon palace in front of me, with dragons flying around it. "This mallet is the 'Uchide no Kozuchi' that grants any wish. If used wisely, it can make the world a better place, but... it's still too early for you." With that, the dragon vanished. 《Commitment》 We use the best fish of the day purchased from the market. Since we use seasonal fish, you can enjoy different types of fish depending on the time. Also, please pay attention to the black wooden box that evokes the image of the tamatebako.

《Story》 "I want to be able to run faster!!" As the rabbit, chased by the shark, shouted this while waving a small mallet, it seems the rabbit flew to the moon in no time and successfully escaped from the shark. Upon reaching the moon, the rabbit transformed into a human form and smiled at us. 《Commitment》 The bowl dish is something deep and heartwarming. Lily root buns are also known as auspicious items for the New Year. The overlapping bulbs symbolize harmony and getting along well.

《Story》Oh, it's hot!!! The area is surrounded by flames. If you listen closely, you can hear crackling and squeaking. From behind, I hear the voice of a mouse. When I turn around, I see a small mouse with an arrow in its mouth. 'You noticed me well. Let me help you. Here, take this!!!' As the mouse swings a small mallet, both the flames and the mouse disappear. 《Special Feature》A local dish from Shimane, Honsho Grilled. Did you know that Suzuki has been known as a lucky high-class fish since the Heian period? We also have a slightly bold flame performance prepared for you.

《Story》 "Could you spare me some rice...?" Okuninushi was about to convey that he had no rice when he noticed an odd sensation inside his clothes. When he reached inside, he found a rice dumpling. Puzzled but pleased, he handed the dumpling to the old man, who then radiated a golden light and transformed into Susanoo, Gozu Tenno, and then Seiryu in succession. "I have been watching your journey all along. With your kind heart and courage, Okuninushi, you will surely use this small mallet correctly to create a wonderful country. Now, take this small mallet." With that, Susanoo vanished. 《Commitment》 Did you know that porridge can stretch like noodles? When porridge stretches and breaks down, it loses its deliciousness. Therefore, the porridge served at a traditional inn is different from the usual porridge you eat, and I believe you can enjoy a unique flavor. At the traditional inn where I trained, they served a dish of soft-boiled egg and millet porridge topped with tortoise shell sauce. It is a dish that holds a lot of sentimental value for me. Please enjoy the freshly made porridge that can only be tasted at a traditional inn, along with the cheek meat of Gozu Tenno (Susanoo).

《Story》During the Edo period, Matsudaira Fumai was troubled by the financial difficulties of the Izumo province he governed. While praying at the Izumo Taisha shrine, the sound of bells rang out. When he returned to the town, it was strangely reported that many farmers were rejoicing, saying, 'This year will be a bountiful harvest!' From that day when the bells rang, the financial troubles eased, and the Izumo province flourished. Even now, Izumo continues to thrive as a 'land of matchmaking.' 《Commitment》Shimane's famous confectionery, Young Grass. It is simple, yet I want to convey its essence. The color of young grass embodies the charm of spring, new encounters, and a delicate beauty reminiscent of flowers just about to bloom. May there be new and good arrivals. Accompanied by the matcha of the tea master, Matsudaira Fumai.
