We can arrange a full-day (18:00-23:00) private party with a budget of 50,000 yen or more on weekdays and 80,000 yen or more on weekends. Most private courses usually have a time limit of 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes, but we do not have a time limit as long as it is during our business hours. Budget, number of people, and course content will be decided upon in consultation with customers on a case-by-case basis. Wine is the main beverage at regular hours, but tea, highballs, fruit wine, and soft drinks can be added at private parties. Please feel free to consult with us even in the case of a private party outside of normal business hours.

The owner, who comes from a background in Japanese cuisine, has expanded the menu from 'skewers' to a focus on 'Japanese cuisine' as we move into the next stage, coinciding with our third anniversary. Unlike at the beginning, the current Friendly Bookstore does not limit itself to skewers, nor is it bound by the conventions of wine, and we offer a variety of dishes daily that change with the seasons. Originally, bacon refers to something that has been smoked. Most bacon sold in local butcher shops and supermarkets is steamed and only infused with the smell of smoke. Our shop offers authentic smoked bacon, luxuriously grilled on skewers over binchotan charcoal. Please enjoy this blissful piece.
Our pork is sourced from the Aomori Prefecture brand pork known as 'Kawaken Buta'. Its greatest feature is not the 'fat' but the 'lean meat', which is said to have a sweetness that becomes the ultimate 'umami lump' when grilled over binchotan charcoal. It is perfectly finished to pair with salt, sauce, or ponzu, making it an exquisite dish.
Needless to say, this is an incredibly luxurious skewer made from braised pork belly. It takes 'more than 3 days' to prepare, so if you find it on the menu when you visit, it's a 'super lucky skewer‼'
We offer various seasonings to match the wine you are drinking. Many discerning customers order salt and sauce separately.
This is a perfect choice for a proper drinking snack. If you want to enjoy it elegantly, go for the 'salt flavor.' For those who prefer to drink with gusto, the 'sauce flavor' is recommended. Many customers also order one of each, salt and sauce.
The shiitake skewer boasts overwhelming popularity among vegetable skewers; it is incredibly juicy and has an absolutely wonderful aroma. It is definitely not just shiitake mushrooms grilled and drizzled with soy sauce. We take the time and effort to grill them to perfection. This is a must-order for shiitake lovers!!
The distinctive feature of Kawaken Pork is that it is raised on a carefully selected feed that includes garlic during the fattening period, making it tender and delicious even when cooked. The fat is white and light. There is no unique odor typical of pork, and its high moisture retention ensures that the umami is not lost. The red meat contains a moderate amount of fat, making it juicy with a fine texture.

Nameko mushrooms are always available at the supermarket. At our shop, we prepare both the 'nameko mushrooms' and 'tofu' homemade. Please experience the difference from store-bought products!

You can choose between breast meat and thigh meat. A half-and-half option is also available. The seasoning is adjusted according to the season and the wine you are drinking.

Made in-house and prepared after an order is placed. The first order of the day will be served as warm tofu. From the next day onwards, it will be served chilled.
It takes about a week or more from preparation to completion. While the main offerings are Japanese cuisine, this is a genuine dish that rivals Western restaurants. Of course, it is available in limited quantities.
We use fresh chicken breast and gizzards that can be eaten as sashimi, coated in our homemade sauce with a hint of Sichuan pepper, perfectly seasoned for this time of year. Please enjoy the moistness of the chicken breast and the crunchy texture of the gizzards.
Recently becoming a staple menu item in izakayas, 'Ume Suishou' is made using shark cartilage. However, our establishment has taken it a step further by combining this shark cartilage with chicken yagen cartilage to create a unique dish.
During this time, it will be tofu made with 'corn' and 'tomato'. Half & half servings are also available.

A vibrant and soft, unfiltered premium beer that is kegged the day after ordering and shipped chilled with live yeast.
Enjoy the changing flavors from the first sip to the last with this bottle-conditioned beer. Black: the roasted malt's toastiness; X Ale: a distinct presence of hops; Wheat: fruity aromas and refreshing bitterness. Yeast settles at the bottom of the bottle. Depending on your preference, gently shake the bottle to mix the yeast, pour it into your glass, and enjoy a slightly more complex flavor.
Originally, a sour is an alcoholic drink based on spirits. Cocktails made with distilled spirits and sour fruit juices such as citrus and berries are called sours. In our establishment, we serve it with a brandy base, adding carbonated water and citrus. It has a clean and clear taste without any off-flavors, unlike chuhai, which is shochu mixed with carbonated water.
Due to being a special beer that can only maintain freshness for two days without filtration, it is available by reservation only. Those who make a reservation will be offered the price of 980 yen instead of the regular price of 1,200 yen.
We have a variety of glass wines available so that you can enjoy them with your snacks. Since the snacks are primarily Japanese cuisine, we particularly focus on 'rosé wine.' Our selection of wines changes daily, so we do not have a wine list available. Please feel free to consult with us. For red wines, we mainly offer Burgundy Pinot Noir that pairs well with Japanese snacks.
