Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from white grapes, Chardonnay, for white wine, and has a light and elegant mouthfeel with acidity and minerality. Blanc de Noirs is made from black grapes, Pinot Noir, or Pinot Meunier, or a blend of these two varieties, resulting in a rich type. Rosé is made by extracting a light color from red wine grapes or by pressing white wine grapes and red wine grapes together, or by blending their juices. The reason rosé champagne is more expensive than standard champagne is that it offers enjoyment of aroma, flavor, and color. Standard refers to the so-called typical type made by blending white wine grapes and red wine grapes. It has a good balance of aroma and mouthfeel, pairs well with a variety of dishes, and has a transparent golden color.
