A great restaurant never betrays you
My first time at Tori Oka! A restaurant that carries on the DNA of Torishiki!
I managed to get a reservation and was very excited to go!
We ordered the "omakase" course, so we had a drink right away!
After ordering a drink, freshly grilled dishes were served one by one!
We had a few drinks and finished up with
When you finish your meal, you will be quite satisfied with the contents.
The rice was delicious! The rice was so tasty that I could eat it clean with a side of rice to finish!
Thank you very much!
Needless to say, I was impressed not only by the food but also by the attentive customer service.
The tsukune (sweet potatoes) to finish off the earthenware pot rice dish made me honestly glad to be Japanese. I will go back again!
Roppongi [Torioka
We went to Torioka, a yakitori restaurant located in Roppongi Hills. Torioka is an official offshoot of Tori Shiki, which is said to be the best yakitori restaurant in Japan.
It was difficult to get a reservation at this restaurant in Hills, so this was my first visit.
The menu is an omakase course only. I had heard from various people that all the yakitori dishes did not disappoint and that the rice cooked in an earthenware pot at the end of the meal was amazing, so I knew what to expect. We went there with our hurdles maxed out.
At first, the yakitori appeared heavy, but from the heat to the seasoning, it was more perfect than I had expected. With each bite, we smiled so much that we forgot about the conversation.
The broccoli roast was the first time I had ever tasted broccoli that tasted so good! I was in a state of panic. It's a little mind-boggling💦.
The amount of salt, the degree of grilling, and the thickness of the sauce were all calculated to create a delicious taste.
And when you open the lid of the earthenware pot rice that comes out after you are full, you can feel the delicious steam coming out of the pot and smell the delicious aroma. Tsukune and ponjiri also appear at the right time, so you can make a yakitori donburi as well.
But with white rice, I never thought I would be impressed... It was so wonderful that it easily surpassed the maximum hurdle. It's been a while since I've been to a restaurant where the tension is so high.
Thank you very much for the food.
Branch restaurant that carries on the "Torishiki" tradition of fire-roasting
Meguro "Torishiki" group!
This is the second branch of Torishiki, following Torikado.
The restaurant has inherited Torishiki's traditional "near high heat" cooking method to bring out the best flavor of the ingredients!
Located in Roppongi Hills, the restaurant is easily accessible and reservations are relatively easy to make!
The general manager of Tori Oka is Mr. Noriyuki Kurosaki 👨🍳✨

Each dish was exquisite. I especially liked the shiranyu before the meal, the bonjiri at the beginning of the course, and the rice at the end. I was able to relax thanks to the attentiveness of the owner and the restaurant staff. It was delicious. I would like to visit again with an empty stomach!
I visited this restaurant because it is a new branch of Tori Shiki.
I don't often attack yakitori, so I'd like to do so from now on 😀.
Seriously, if you want to go, now is the time to go!
Next time: 11/30!
