'Inafuku', located near Fushimi Inari Taisha, is known for its quail skewers, a local specialty of Fushimi. The sweet sauce and the accent of sansho pepper create a perfect harmony, especially when you choose the bone-in option for a striking dish. You can enjoy a delightful texture while also savoring udon with a fragrant bonito broth and sweet inari sushi.
The interior of the town house shop located in a quiet alley is clean and the courtyard is beautiful. The eel grilled over charcoal has a wonderful aroma, with a crispy skin and a fluffy, melting interior. There is a limited set meal that allows you to enjoy both white grilled eel and kabayaki in one dish, making the comparison very enjoyable. The white grilled eel pairs well with salt and wasabi, clearly showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The sashimi, chawanmushi, and liver soup are all fresh, and each dish is satisfying. You can see the grilling area, which adds to the atmosphere, and there are plenty of seats, including counters and private rooms, allowing for a relaxed experience.

I ordered a course where you grill and eat dumplings and wheat gluten. It was delicious, and it was fun to choose the flavor of the dipping sauce. The tea was also fresh, as I could select the aroma from a test tube and have it dripped for me. Of course, it was delicious.
The staff were lively and wonderful. I especially recommend it to those who like a Japanese atmosphere.
The monthly changing Kyoto kaiseki menu was very good with dishes that evoke the Gion Festival and summer. My friend who went with me was very satisfied and said, 'We should come here every month, right?'
In a cozy space, the staff's smiles are wonderful and calming. The signature salad is abundant with leafy greens, pickled onions, carrot rillettes, fermented red cabbage, ratatouille, and even kombu-marinated sea bream, making it enjoyable to look at and eat. The use of spices and herbs is skillful, and the dish of bamboo shoots and sakura shrimp has a fragrant aroma that pairs very well. The royal of whelk and fresh wakame has a gentle umami flavor like dashi that soothes the heart. The wine suggestions perfectly match the dishes, and the explanations are easy to understand, allowing for a confident choice. The melon dessert and the small sweets served after the meal are visually appealing, ensuring satisfaction until the very end.

The course allows you to enjoy both shabu-shabu and sukiyaki at the same time, and I am very satisfied. The shabu-shabu has a homemade ponzu that is refreshing, enhancing the flavor of the meat. The sukiyaki has a deep taste of brown sugar and soy sauce, and when dipped in egg, it becomes mellow. The meat seems to be of high grade and is surprisingly tender. At the counter, they finish it right in front of you, and their commitment to the broth and condiments is evident. The dessert, warabi mochi and whisked matcha, is elegant, leaving a happy aftertaste.
