A 2-hour all-you-can-drink course that includes 9 kinds of Echigo's local sake and seasonal dishes! The course includes our specialty Tochio-age, seafood from the Sea of Japan, and our famous hegisoba noodles. How about a drinking party with acquaintances and friends, a welcome party at the workplace, or a local gathering?
Hegi soba refers to soba noodles served in small portions on a hegi (a wooden box made of cedar). The hegi soba at Kongouan is a handmade delicacy that inherits the method of using nori seaweed as a binding agent, preserving the natural flavors of the sea and mountains. We source fresh soba daily from our main store in Niigata.
The dipping sauce, made by combining a broth from bonito and kelp with a special tare, enhances the fragrant flavor of bonito when paired with hegi soba.
Two servings for 1,560 yen (excluding tax) / Three servings for 2,340 yen (excluding tax) / Four servings for 3,120 yen (excluding tax). With seaweed... An additional 100 yen (excluding tax) per serving. We can serve it individually upon request. Please feel free to ask. Large shrimp are crispy fried in salad oil.
Half size 550 yen (excluding tax). The dashi-maki tamago soaked with plenty of soba sauce is perfect as a snack with alcohol!
Tare Katsu, a B-class gourmet dish from Niigata City, is made with three pieces. Our Tare Katsu is prepared differently! We carefully pound and tenderize the fillet meat, coat it with fine dry breadcrumbs, and finish it in a healthy way to prevent it from absorbing too much oil. The key is to dip it in our homemade soy sauce-based tare! Be sure to taste the difference from the familiar tonkatsu!
The fried tofu from Tochio Sato Tofu Shop is about three times the size of the usual! This fried tofu, which is fluffy all the way through, is coated with white miso from Shibuya Shoten in Niigata, allowing the flavor to soak in. It is a delicious item grilled to perfection with natto and green onions. A popular dish that pairs perfectly with local sake or beer!
Rich in flavor and low in salt, making it a healthy choice.
We carefully select seasonal fish caught that day, such as blackthroat seaperch, yellowtail, amberjack, horse mackerel, and fresh bluefin tuna, all sourced from the waters off Sado Island. Delivered directly, so it's fresh! We keep costs down, allowing us to offer sashimi at a great value. Please enjoy the luxurious seafood from Niigata!
