A hidden izakaya with a Showa-era charm

Nestled in a back alley of Nakameguro, this hidden izakaya exudes a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. The interior is adorned with Totoro figurines and various nostalgic items, creating a visually delightful space. In addition to exquisite sashimi and oden, you can also enjoy carefully selected sake that changes with the seasons.

The restaurant was energetic and had a good atmosphere. The sashimi is the best. The fried oden radish was also very good. The potato salad was too flavorful. The lemon sour with one lemon was very good. As a sake lover, I would like to see more variety of sake.

The restaurant was small and the air conditioning was ineffective and it was hot, but the staff were all cheerful and friendly, and we enjoyed our meal. Drinks were normal (felt a little expensive), and the rice was cosy enough, except for the famous sashimi. The takikomi-gohan was the best. Perfect for drinks with friends.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, with an old-fashioned ghibli feel! However, it was quite crowded and the restaurant was noisy...! It might be uncomfortable for those who want to have a meal in a calm atmosphere.... The food was very good. ☺️

I was amazed at how cheap and fresh the sashimi was. Everything we ordered tasted and looked good. The employees were energetic and very pleasant to serve.

The food was delicious and the service was good, but the interior was cramped and uncomfortable. It felt like everyone was talking loudly. If you can enjoy that atmosphere, I think it's a good restaurant.

I think the food is good, both cosmetically and dietary. However, I was disappointed in two points. The first was the customer service. It may have been hot and busy, but the explanations were sometimes vague or disorganized. I felt that they misunderstood the meaning of "crisp and energetic. The second point is the seating. We were told by the restaurant that we would be moved to a seat at the end of the table. This was to accommodate the 4 customers who came later, even though we had made reservations.
