Experience 16 Types of Kushi Tempura at a Machiya Counter in Kyoto
This specialty shop, located in a renovated machiya (traditional townhouse), offers a unique experience with 16 types of bite-sized kushi tempura fried right in front of you at a sunken kotatsu counter. The crispy tempura features a variety of ingredients, including seafood and Kyoto vegetables, and is paired with salt or matcha salt to keep the flavors exciting until the last bite. Guests can also enjoy freshly cooked Koshihikari rice from the Kyoto Tamba region, traditional obanzai (Kyoto-style side dishes), and finish off with a tempura tea rice dish, all while savoring the flavors of Kyoto through all five senses.
