I had the mountain bandit grilled set meal! It was very delicious, but it was so filling that I couldn't finish it even with a small serving of rice. It might be better for women or those with a small appetite to share. I took home the leftovers.
I was glad I had made a reservation, but it was a popular restaurant that was fully booked. It is said to be the birthplace of the famous Shinshu dish, Sanzoku-yaki. I had Sanzoku-yaki (large), a mixed platter of grilled chicken (8 skewers), chicken offal stew (small), horse sashimi (small), and Caesar salad. The portions were generous, the taste was great, and I was very satisfied. As expected from a popular restaurant, the deliciousness was remarkable 😋
We arrived with 7 people for a reservation at 5:30 PM, and the items came right after we ordered, so the children and grandchildren were happily eating.

It was the best. The cleanliness of the restaurant, the service and atmosphere from the staff. And the food as well. The freshness was good, and the presentation was beautiful. It was a hot day, so transitioning from cucumber and miso, fried food and beer, to sashimi and sake or shochu... it was the best.
