For dessert, there was a trio of selections, and the fruit jelly was refreshing. With gentle service and soothing background music, I was able to relax.
Located in the old shopping district of Anraku in Suminoe Ward, Osaka, Tonsuke Anraku is a grill specialty restaurant that exudes nostalgia. Known for its thick and juicy tonkatsu, it has gained fame through various media and word-of-mouth. The tonkatsu served with a rich demi-glace sauce is particularly notable for its sweet and intense flavor, making it an unforgettable dish once tasted. In the evening, the atmosphere is calm, allowing for a relaxed dining experience.
Kojuan is a renowned restaurant specializing in 100% buckwheat soba located just a stone's throw away from Suminoe Station. The thin, white soba noodles here are best enjoyed with a sprinkle of salt, enhancing their delicious flavor. In addition, the soba tea and soba-yu coffee are exceptional, and the locally sourced rice is also a point of pride. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant, making it well worth a visit.
Sumiyoshi Unakichi is a takeout-only restaurant where you can enjoy fresh eel. They offer a bold twist on the Nagoya specialty 'unajū,' featuring a fluffy interior and a crispy exterior. The special sauce perfectly complements the eel, creating an unforgettable flavor that lingers long after your meal.
It is a traditional Japanese-style building where you take off your shoes before entering. You can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in a tatami room, and it feels surprisingly calming. The dal has a gentle flavor that pairs perfectly with the other side dishes. The dal bhat allows you to choose your favorite curry, and the more you mix, the more the flavors expand. The momo has a rich meatiness, which I particularly liked. The service is friendly, and the guidance on how to eat is attentive, making it enjoyable to look at the ingredients and goods in the store.
Located near Nankai Suminoe Station, Chinese Cuisine Tawaan has been cherished by locals for many years. The mapo tofu and curry champon are particularly unforgettable dishes that warm both the heart and body. The aged appearance of the restaurant tells a story of history and charm. Each visit brings new delights in a cozy atmosphere that makes it truly inviting.
Even though there is only one master, they provided the dishes promptly and at the perfect timing. Every dish was delicious, and the restaurant is clean and easy to enter. I will go again!!
