What is Osaka?: Osaka is a dynamic gateway in Japan where everyday flavors and artisanal techniques coexist. The city is often associated with the playful spirit of kuidaore, and that convivial mindset shapes a dining scene that encourages grazing through neighborhoods, from sizzling takoyaki stands and hearty okonomiyaki counters to crisp kushikatsu, dashi-forward udon, and refined kaiseki-inspired plates. Market arcades and waterfront districts invite seafood-focused menus, while cozy izakaya alleys, noodle shops, and sweets artisans reflect a love of approachable, seasonal tastes. Pressed sushi traditions and a fondness for rich yet balanced broths hint at Kansai’s palate. As a historic merchant center tied to trade and entertainment, Osaka nurtured quick, flavorful cooking and a culture of lively hospitality that continues to influence its tables today. Visitors may find that both classic comfort dishes and globally inspired kitchens share the same emphasis on warmth, rhythm, and the joy of eating together.
What is Seafood?: Seafood dining highlights the natural character of fish and shellfish through techniques that showcase texture and aroma. Menus often feature raw-bar selections such as oysters, sashimi-style plates, or citrus-cured ceviche, alongside grilled whole fish, pan-seared fillets, steamed clams and mussels, and crisp fried options like calamari. Brothy specialties, from simple fish soups to hearty stews and rice dishes, appear in many regional styles. Chefs may employ charcoal grilling, gentle poaching, smoking, or curing to bring out nuanced flavors, pairing dishes with citrus, herbs, sea salt, and umami-rich stocks. Depending on the venue, guests might choose counter seating to watch the action, order from a printed catch of the day, or share platters designed for the table. Seasonal availability often shapes the selection, encouraging variety across visits. Whether seeking a light tasting or a generous feast to share, this category offers versatile ways to enjoy the ocean’s bounty.

The course where you can enjoy as much crab and wagyu beef as you like is truly like a dream. The snow crab and king crab are both packed with meat and have a rich sweetness. In particular, the sukiyaki made with Miyazaki beef has a deep flavor in the broth, and when dipped in egg, it becomes melt-in-your-mouth tender. The vegetables and tofu also absorb the umami, making it hard to put down the chopsticks. The restaurant is clean, and the staff kindly explains everything, so even first-timers can enjoy it with peace of mind. The cute illustrated door and the smiles of the international guests left a strong impression, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

On our wedding anniversary, my wife requested, 'I want to eat delicious crab,' so we visited Mahoroba Crab, recommended by a friend.
I have been to many restaurants before, but here I experienced dishes and presentations that I had never encountered, and in a good way, my expectations were exceeded.
We had a luxurious course using one live snow crab per person. The food was, of course, delicious, but the presentation of each dish, the timing of the service, and the ambiance were all meticulously crafted, making it possibly the best restaurant I have ever visited.
The completely private room was also a great point, allowing us to relax without worrying about the surroundings, even with children. The staff's consideration was wonderful, and naturally, the conversation with my wife flowed, making it an unforgettable day for our family. It is a place I would like to visit again on a special day.
Thank you for the wonderful time.

There is a wide variety of conger eel dishes, all of which are delicious. The sashimi, in particular, is a magnificent gem, and seven different types of sashimi are offered. The texture and flavor are different, allowing you to taste the magnificence of the conger eel. The owner's love for conger eel can be felt. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and comfortable, allowing you to enjoy your meal in comfort. I was surprised at the variety of dishes using conger eel. I would like to visit again next year.

When was the last time you ate crab?
A friend of mine invited me to go out for a bit of a luxurious crab dinner.
I was thrilled and excited to visit!
When I arrived at the 4th floor of the building, there was only an intercom!
I pressed the button and told them my name, and then went inside the restaurant.
The restaurant has three private rooms.
Each room has a different concept.
There were 4 of us and it was very spacious.
The course we reserved this time was

Boiled claws
The meat is so soft and fluffy, it's different from raw and grilled.
The texture of the meat is fluffy and different from both raw and grilled meat.
The crystalline salt is soooo gentle on the palate!
This combination is also as good as it gets!
Miso Shabu Shabu
Shabu-shabu in a warmed shell!
This is a bad way to eat it, isn't it?

When I searched for 'Harihari Nabe' online, I found many hits for 'Harishabu', but I wanted to eat the traditional 'Harihari Nabe', so I ended up at Nishitamamizu.
I requested a course this time.
All the dishes were very delicious, and I was extremely satisfied.
The quality of the ingredients was, of course, excellent, but the careful preparation meant that there was no unique odor typical of whale, resulting in a deeply flavorful dish.
