Dondon Honten

The charcoal grilled menu, cooked with binchotan charcoal, offers 33 varieties, while the izakaya menu features over 60 options. A selection of about 150 types of alcohol, including sake, shochu, and umeshu, pairs perfectly with the dishes. The skewered dishes, carefully grilled by hand, have an exquisite balance of aroma and juiciness, allowing you to enjoy new flavors with each visit.

Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats and a sunken tatami room, creating a relaxing Japanese atmosphere. In a calm environment, you can enjoy pleasant moments with friends and family. The warm lighting and the coziness of wood create a comfortable ambiance, soothing the visitors.

Opened on July 7, 2016, it is cherished as an izakaya loved in Sanyo-Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Having relocated from Park Street, it has embarked on a new start with the name 'Main Store.' It continues to be loved by the local people and has grown as a presence that supports the local food culture.

The owner, Mr. Fujikawa, opened "Dondon" in 1999. After opening two sister restaurants, he decided to move to a new location and changed the name to "Dondon Honten. With the support of regular customers and new customers, he hopes to open a store in his hometown of Kumamoto in the future.
