Located in sumiyoshi, hakata ward, "tachinomi kuzu" is a cozy izakaya where you can sit and drink, contrary to its name. there are counter seats and table seats, and the owner and young staff will greet you with a smile. the food is very filling, and the chicken tempura in particular is excellent. this is a restaurant that can be used for a wide range of purposes, from a quick drink to a relaxed drink.

As you pass through the entrance, you might think it's a standing bar, but you're welcomed by a counter and tables with chairs, which is a relief. Inside the shop, the owner and the smiling staff move briskly, making it comfortable even for first-time visitors. The specialty, chicken tempura, is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and even two pieces are quite satisfying in volume. The white shrimp tempura is crunchy and aromatic, pairing well with both highballs and sake. The bean sprout namul, a dish with chrysanthemum greens, and the sesame mackerel are all seasoned with care, making it hard to put down the chopsticks. I felt it was a reliable tavern where you can enjoy just a drink casually or take your time to relax.

When you enter thinking it's a standing bar, you are pleasantly surprised by the unexpectedly substantial dishes on offer. The signature dish, tori-ten (fried chicken), has a light and crispy batter, while the inside is juicy, making it hard to put down your chopsticks. The sides, such as bean sprout namul and white shrimp tempura, are also plentiful, making it easy to keep drinking. The staff greet you with a smile, creating a comfortable atmosphere even for first-time visitors. Enjoying highballs and sake while chatting with friends in a shop where dramas are playing was a very happy time.
