Sumibi Yakinikuya Sakai Wakayama Hashimoto opened on February 29, 2024 as the fifth restaurant in Wakayama Prefecture. As a new base of "Sumibi Yakinikuya Sakai," which has been popular for nearly 30 years since its establishment in 1995 as a charcoal-grill yakiniku restaurant using a shichirin, the store aims to be loved by local residents.

After graduating from university, Mr. Sakai worked as an office worker for three years before setting up his own business at the age of 25. Along with starting his "sword business," he also entered the restaurant business and opened Sakai. He caused a price disruption in the industry, and in just six years of business, Sakai has opened 100 restaurants not only in the Tokai area, but also nationwide, and has even gone public.
