This hidden gem is just a short walk from Shijo Station, and the warmth of the wooden counter is exciting. The traditional Japanese patterned walls and the displayed fans catch the eye, instantly creating a Kyoto-like atmosphere as soon as you take a seat. The dishes are a seasonal omakase, with the delicacy of the dashi standing out in each item. In particular, the dobin mushi and the takikomi gohan were richly aromatic, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. The carefully chosen plates and the boat-shaped chopstick rests are charming, adding a visual delight to the experience. The warm hospitality from the chef and the owner allowed for a relaxing time, and I enjoyed a pleasant experience, including the table seats on the second floor.
