Founded in 1964, the business continued to operate rooted in the community after reopening in April 2021, even after closing before relocating in 2020. The owner, who is over 80 years old, still makes sushi and smiles as he mentions that he might be the 'oldest new store owner in Setagaya.' The gallery in front of the store, created from the voices of the community and regular customers, has also become a place for cultural expression in the town.
