A hidden gem of an Edomae sushi restaurant

Hanai Sushi Kagurazaka is a hidden Edomae sushi restaurant quietly located on a side street in Kagurazaka. Having relocated from Aoyama, this establishment features a modern space with only an L-shaped counter, where the chef's skill shines as he carefully prepares fresh sushi. Each piece of nigiri, meticulously crafted, showcases the artisan's technique and dedication. The sushi, made with seasonal ingredients, offers a new taste experience with every visit.

This shop, located on the upper floor like a hideaway, has a quiet atmosphere at the entrance, but the inside is clean and pleasant. The seating is mainly at the counter, and the glasses lined up on the shelves are beautiful and enjoyable to look at. The craftsmen are calm and easy to talk to, and it's exciting to watch them skillfully slice and prepare sushi right in front of you. The sushi is carefully prepared, the wasabi is pleasantly balanced, and the rice is a size that is easy to eat in one bite. They even serve a bowl and dessert ice cream, providing a sense of satisfaction throughout the meal. I heard that there are courses available in the evening that match the ingredients, and I felt that this way of enjoying the meal is also appealing.
