Horse meat specialty restaurant, long-established "Minoya" with a long history! From Morishita Station Sakuranabe Minoya Honten" is located right in front of the Morishita Station. It is historically famous for its "Sakura-nabe", horse meat. Historically, this is one of the few long-established restaurants in Tokyo where you can enjoy "sakura-nabe", a type of horse meat that was enjoyed by people working on wooden horses and others because it gave them strength as soon as they ate it. It is a pot of horse meat, green onions, shirataki mushrooms, and fu dipped in a special sauce and stewed in a sweet miso-based broth. The meat cooks quickly, so I remember eating it half-cooked, which was the best I could do. I remember eating it with a sense of uneasiness. The interior of the restaurant is historic. I love this kind of atmosphere, as if I had time-traveled back to the old Edo period. The waitstaff is also very energetic. Some of the waiters were not very friendly. I found the service to be a little poor. By the way, you have to take off your shoes in the restaurant. You take off your shoes and are handed something like a wooden tag. The menu is very simple and It is unified with things such as sakura nabe and horse meat sashimi. Personally. the horse meat sashimi was quite tasty, as the soy sauce was also special and I enjoyed it quite a bit. However, the key "sakura nabe" was I guess my expectations were somewhat too high. I did not feel the taste was as good as I expected. Well, I learned that there is also this kind of dish I learned a lot. However, it was a great match with beer, so it would be quite good to use as a bar!

I loved it. A great restaurant that showed me how wonderful horse meat is! The food is so good that you can't stop eating it without saying a word! The atmosphere of the restaurant is like stepping back in time to the Showa period.

A store frequented by rakugo performers worth traveling for just to enjoy horse meat sakura hot pot. It's nice to share a flat small pot in a shop with over 110 years of history and culture infused in its soul. You should go with old friends.
