SOMETARO, Furyu Okonomiyaki

A self-service okonomiyaki restaurant with a Showa-era atmosphere. The specialty here is "Shumaiten," a dish made with onions, garlic, and minced meat, which can be enjoyed by pouring soy sauce on top of the okonomiyaki. The charm of this restaurant is that you can enjoy your meal in a traditional atmosphere while grilling your own okonomiyaki.

From the outside, it has the appearance of a long-established restaurant, a one-story building covered with overgrown trees. There is no air conditioning inside the restaurant, and the heat from the griddle makes it particularly hot in the summer, so fans are essential. However, the heat enhances the taste of the cold beer and creates an emotional atmosphere. Since only tatami room seating is available, shoes must be taken off and placed in plastic bags.
