It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but the exterior is modest and once you enter, it’s calming. It’s a small shop with just a counter that wraps around, and the owner efficiently manages everything by themselves. There’s a guide to order several dishes and drinks at the start, and it’s enjoyable to look at the menu on the wall. All the snacks have a gentle flavor, and the stews and simmered dishes left a particularly strong impression. A plate of blanched garlic chives topped with a soft-boiled egg and a ratatouille full of vegetables are both carefully prepared and delicious. It seems they regularly change the selection of sake, making it perfect for quietly spending time alone or with one or two people.
