Andhra Dining Shibuya

Featuring hearty meals centered on the regional cuisine of South India’s Andhra Pradesh, the signature thali includes several types of curry—chicken, mutton, and vegetable—served with basmati rice, chapati, sambar, rasam, poriyal, and raita. The day-limited “Hyderabad Dum Biryani” is a standout dish of bone-in chicken with a vivid, fragrant spice aroma, and at lunch refills of basmati rice, sambar, and rasam are unlimited. Dozens of spices are blended, allowing a wide range of diners—from children to those who enjoy strong heat—to enjoy the food.

Located on the 4th floor of HULIC & New UDAGAWA facing Shibuya Udagawa Street, the spacious, open restaurant has 100 seats in total and includes a bar area and semi-private rooms. It features a relaxed atmosphere where guests can become familiar with South Indian food culture, and staff carefully explain how to eat, so even those trying South Indian cuisine for the first time can feel at ease. With easy access just a 4-minute walk from Shibuya Station, it is widely used by families and groups.

As a sister restaurant of the long-established Andhra Kitchen, which helped establish South Indian cuisine in Tokyo, it opened in Udagawacho, Shibuya on April 13, 2021. Taking the opportunity of opening in a renovated mixed-use building, it created a spacious space of about 100 seats and a bar area, and developed as a venue that can be used from lunch through dinner. With authentic South Indian Andhra cuisine and an affordable price range, it has gained many repeat customers.
