Kuniji

The main focus of the cuisine is the fragrant 100% buckwheat soba made from stone-milled buckwheat flour from Hokkaido. This soba, made without any additives and using 100% buckwheat flour, releases the original flavor of the soba with every bite. Additionally, there is a rich variety of seasonal dishes such as duck soba and vegetable tempura, each showcasing delicate techniques. Furthermore, soba shochu and carefully selected sake from across the country are available, perfectly complementing the dishes.

"Kuniji" is a shop that has been renovated from a single-family home located in a quiet residential area. The exterior is modest yet clean, providing a sense of reassurance to visitors. The interior is adorned with abundant wooden materials, creating a calm atmosphere reminiscent of traditional Japanese aesthetics. There are 14 seats available, with both table seating and tatami rooms provided, and options for private rooms and full rentals are also available.

"Kuniji" is a soba specialty restaurant that opened on May 18, 2019, and the owner has an unusual background as a former company employee. Driven by a passion for soba and a deep knowledge of sake, he left his corporate job to pursue this path. All the buckwheat flour used is sourced from Hokkaido, and with a focus on aroma and texture, they offer 100% buckwheat soba that is carefully ground with a stone mill and made fresh every day.
