It has been 31 years since the restaurant was established in Ofuna. After opening as a Chinese restaurant "Lai Lai Tei", it was relocated once and reopened in 2006 at its current location as "Taiwanese Home Cuisine Sang Sai Bean". The restaurant was named after the "Sanshi-mame", a seed of marriage with which the founder and his wife were united, and is well known for its history as well as its community-based cuisine.

Born in Taiwan. After coming to Japan, he learned the language while working in a restaurant in Shinjuku, and gained experience in many Chinese restaurants. His cuisine is characterized by simplicity and never-ending deliciousness, and his skills and passion are reflected in the dishes at Sang Shi Bean. The warmth of Taiwan combined with his study in Japan has made him a favorite among visitors.
