Yushima Haruchika is a warm and inviting establishment where you can enjoy authentic Shinshu udon "ozanza" and homemade dishes. The owner, originally from Nagano Prefecture, recreates the flavors of his hometown, while the chef, his wife, incorporates her experience from a sushi restaurant into the menu. It's a place where you can easily visit alone and spend a relaxing time enjoying delicious food. In addition to a variety of creative dishes, the tempura with exquisite combinations of ingredients is also outstanding.

The 100% buckwheat soba made from sprouted buckwheat flour is fragrant and brings happiness from the very first bite. It has a slightly rustic texture, but the rich flavor of the buckwheat comes through beautifully, making it very delicious. There is a guide to savoring it in the order of salt, soy sauce, and dipping sauce, allowing you to distinctly enjoy the qualities of each. The atmosphere is friendly, and with regular customers around, conversations flow naturally. The appetizers, such as deep-fried Manjyu chili peppers, spicy cold tofu, and gentle yudofu, are also satisfying. A selection of fragrant sake is available, making the time spent pairing it with soba and dishes very pleasant.

It's a cozy space centered around the counter, making it easy to feel at home and open up quickly. The first words I heard, 'Thank you for your hard work,' made me happy and relaxed my mood. The seasonal small dishes are well-prepared, and the flavor of the burdock root with miso is delightful as a snack. The signature 'Ozanza' is thick and chewy, and surprisingly pairs well with mozzarella, tomatoes, and eggplant. The sprouted 100% buckwheat soba has a rich aroma, and trying it with salt, soy sauce, and dashi changes its character in an interesting way. The selection of sake is also extensive, and when paired with soba and other dishes, it greatly enhances the overall satisfaction.
