I was knocked out by the late-night handmade curry udon at a restaurant where I tasted the underlying power of Osaka, a city of gourmands! Only udon and oden, "Kagawa" is a late-night queue restaurant in Kitashinchi. I had already had a lot of udon and oden, but my boss who worked at the Kansai branch recommended this restaurant to me. First, oden. The taste of oden with broth made from suji (a type of beef) soaked into my stomach late at night. It was irresistible. Then, the famous curry udon with two prawn tempura on top is a superb dish of thin, slippery udon noodles with kujo leeks and deep-fried tofu, intertwined with the curry that is served in a broth. I was so full of udon that I couldn't eat it all by myself. I ordered one udon, feeling sorry for myself, but they were considerate enough to serve it to me in two portions. I would definitely visit this restaurant again when I visit Osaka.
