The interior of the old house is impressive with its beams and irori (traditional Japanese hearth), creating a very calming atmosphere. There are tatami rooms and table seating, and it's enjoyable to look at the antique displays. The soba noodles are neatly arranged and fragrant, with a nice firmness from being chilled in cold water. The dashi-maki (rolled omelette) has a rich flavor from the black-boned chicken, making it hard to stop eating. Each dish, including seasonal small bowls, tender braised pork, and vegetable tempura, provides a sense of satisfaction. The commitment to using homegrown vegetables, black-boned chicken, and blessings from Japanese honeybees is evident, and the hospitality is warm.
