There is a rich variety of sweets that utilize Japanese ingredients, such as matcha pancakes and mitarashi dango. In particular, the matcha pancakes are made with matcha from Uji, Kyoto, and are finished with sweet red bean paste and brown sugar butter, making it a masterpiece. The mildly sweet sauce pairs perfectly with coffee, and there are new discoveries to be made with each visit.

The interior, renovated in a modern Japanese style from a machiya, captivates visitors with its calm atmosphere. There are seats on the second floor as well, allowing for a relaxed time. Enjoy a pleasant moment while feeling the charm of Kyoto. Each visit brings new discoveries, making it a place you want to return to again and again.

Opened in 2010 as a branch of the sweet shop 'Amato Chaya Umezen' established in 1927. While inheriting tradition, we continue to offer new Japanese sweets. Since our founding, we have been loved by many people and play a part in supporting Kyoto's sweet culture.
