Dean & DeLuca

Galette Des Rois - Galette des Rois, known as the 'Kings' Cake,' is a cherished French pastry traditionally savored around Epiphany, a Christian celebration on January 6th, commemorating the Three Wise Men's visit to the infant Jesus. This flaky puff pastry cake boasts a delectable filling of almond cream or frangipane—crafted from almonds, butter, sugar, and eggs. In authentic way, a small token or figurine, often a porcelain or plastic charm called a "fève," is hidden inside the cake before baking. The person who finds the fève in their slice is crowned king or queen for the day and gets to wear a paper crown provided with the cake. At DEAN & DELUCA, we've chosen Almond as our token. Experience the essence of a European New Year celebration right here in Hawaii. Indulge in this delightful tradition and savor the spirit of the season
