A modern Japanese soba restaurant

Soba Okeya is an attractive soba restaurant located in a tranquil setting, housed in a renovated Taisho-era storehouse. Here, you can enjoy hand-made soba with a slightly firm texture, complemented by a rich broth infused with the aroma of bonito flakes. The restaurant also offers a variety of homemade side dishes and traditional sweets, making it perfect for rounding off your meal. The retro wooden furniture and beautiful flowers enhance the restaurant's Japanese ambiance.

In a small soba restaurant near the sea, the calm atmosphere is pleasant. The building resembles a stone warehouse, combined with the warmth of wood, and although there are few seats, you can spend your time comfortably. The soba has a nice texture, and the warm bowl with plum and seaweed perfectly balances the broth and acidity, making me enjoy even the soup. The zaru soba also has a pleasant texture, and the finishing soba broth is thick and satisfying. There are a variety of small side dishes, including grilled miso, sesame vinegar salad, and simmered fresh konjac, all of which are delightful in flavor. The anmitsu after the meal, with its sweet bean paste and agar, was great, and the lightly fragrant soba tea on top was a nice accent.
