Surrounded by farmland, the moment I opened the door of the old folk house, the white plaster walls and the single slab counter of cedar caught my eye, and I felt very excited. The counter seating is limited to a small number of people, so I am happy to enjoy freshly made dishes while chatting with the chef. The dishes made with vegetables grown in the fields and organic vegetables from the neighborhood, without any animal products, are colorful and bring happiness just by looking at them. The gentle flavors continue with the kombu-flavored turnip sauce with sesame tofu and the refreshing cranberry carrot salad. The soup layered with onions prepared in various ways and the fried wheat gluten were also fragrant and paired perfectly with the rice cooked in a traditional stove. The seasonal dessert and fragrant Taiwanese tea enjoyed in a separate room after the meal were the finishing touch, filling my heart along with the natural scenery.
