I visited Restaurant KEI, where Chef Kei Kobayashi, who served as the culinary supervisor for the movie 'Grand Maison Paris' starring Takuya Kimura, became the first Japanese chef to earn three Michelin stars in France. It is a popular restaurant with reservations booked months in advance.
The signature 'Garden Salad' features over 30 types of vegetables arranged like a flower garden, offering a light and deep flavor. The course, which blends French cuisine with Japanese sensibilities, leaves a gentle aftertaste until the end, and the quiet dining space with a white theme and attentive service is also very pleasant.
This is a place I want to add to my list when visiting Paris.
He is a wonderful chef who has achieved the remarkable feat of earning three Michelin stars in Paris, the home of French cuisine, despite being a Japanese chef. As a fellow cook, I am deeply impressed.
