I visited on the way back from momiji-gari (autumn leaf viewing) with my parents. Every dish was delicious, warm, and comforting. The atmosphere of the alley leading to the entrance, the tableware, and the presentation all felt very Kyoto, yet it had a relaxed vibe that was also nice.

I went to the Yokoyama Taikan exhibition. I thought Taikan's works were not so good, but they were made when he was young. As he got older, his work became more and more overwhelming. Yamamoto Menzo is also overwhelming. In summer in Kyoto, everything is orange because of the heat, and even the friction of wiping sweat off with a handkerchief is so hot that it dazzles the eye.
