¿Qué es Osaka?: Osaka is a dynamic gateway in Japan where everyday flavors and artisanal techniques coexist. The city is often associated with the playful spirit of kuidaore, and that convivial mindset shapes a dining scene that encourages grazing through neighborhoods, from sizzling takoyaki stands and hearty okonomiyaki counters to crisp kushikatsu, dashi-forward udon, and refined kaiseki-inspired plates. Market arcades and waterfront districts invite seafood-focused menus, while cozy izakaya alleys, noodle shops, and sweets artisans reflect a love of approachable, seasonal tastes. Pressed sushi traditions and a fondness for rich yet balanced broths hint at Kansai’s palate. As a historic merchant center tied to trade and entertainment, Osaka nurtured quick, flavorful cooking and a culture of lively hospitality that continues to influence its tables today. Visitors may find that both classic comfort dishes and globally inspired kitchens share the same emphasis on warmth, rhythm, and the joy of eating together.

I was very impressed with each and every dish of the elegant tempura!
I was really thinking of bringing this place to the number of 600!
But...my usual junior staff couldn't make it due to a series of schedule changes (~_~~;)
June, my junior's birthday!
What do you want to eat? She replied, "Tempura! and she replied, "Tempura!
I remembered this place before looking for a good place to eat!
I remember there is a Michelin-starred tempura restaurant in Esaka.
Tempura! but my junior said she had a very weak stomach...
She says she has a stomach ache as soon as she eats oily food...
Here, there's not so much, and the ingredients are good!
I want to go there too...lol...I've decided to go here!
I called 3 weeks in advance to make a reservation!
They open at 11:30, but they are already full at 11:30...
I made an appointment for 1:30 p.m., and they said they would call me as soon as they had an opening.
The restaurant is tucked away in a residential area.
If you don't look carefully, you might pass by it, and even though I live nearby, I didn't know about it.
For lunch, there are two courses: a mini tempura course for 2,800 yen and omakase tempura kaiseki for 5,800 yen.
We chose the mini tempura course!
This course includes an appetizer, an appetizer, 6 kinds of tempura, vinegared dish, red miso soup, white rice, simmered baby sardines, pickles, and dessert.
The difference of 5,800 yen is that sashimi and grilled fish are added, and there are more kinds of tempura!
First of all, appetizers and starters are carefully prepared, refreshing and delicious!
From left to right, Mexican seaweed salt, Nagasaki kelp salt, and Mongolian rock salt.
Salt is totally different♪
It was nice to enjoy a variety!
Corn: Gold Rush from Tokushima, very sweet and impressive!
Snow crab in summer. The meat is fluffy, sweet and delicious!
Awaji smelt I've never had a smelt with such plump meat!
Tokushima lotus root and Hokkaido sole! The lotus root has a firm fiber, and the fava beans are also very tasty!
The ayu fish from Lake Biwa is beautifully deep-fried and has a delicious bitter taste!
Sesame Tofu The texture of the outer arare and the sesame tofu inside is interestingly firmer!
Asparagus from Shinshu Sweet! Anyway, it is sweet!
Scallops Scallops are also thick and half-raw inside! They are also sweet and delicious! No pictures...
Naruto Kintoki: It's so sweet! I didn't know there was such a sweet Naruto Kintoki! I'm so impressed!
I was told there were 6 items, but there were more than that, so I was very satisfied!
And rice, red miso soup and pickles!
The rice is so delicious! So sparkling and slightly sweet!
The chirimen is also very elegant and a perfect accompaniment to the rice♪
Dessert is mango sorbet over coconut milk!
This, too, is insanely delicious!
The mango is not weirdly sweet, but it's also kind of dense~!
I was left impressed until the very end!
All of them were so delicious!
The owner casually participated in my conversation with my junior, which was really fun!
For lunch, a reasonable course is enough to satisfy me, and I am very satisfied!
Sorry for the lengthy review.
Last time we had the fall dish and it was delicious so we revisited. As usual, we started with beer and were offered a yuzu kettle as a starter. Inside was a delicious white bean curd with a Chinese cabbage bean paste. The next bowl served was crab majo and turnips. The majo was topped with a cloud of turnips, which went well with the dashi broth. For the sashimi, we had amatekarei and suma bonito tataki. Both were delicious. Vegetables and kumquats were offered in the hachisun that followed, and the grilled white sea bream was outstanding. After the salad and bonito, we were served white rice with sea bream miso. We finished with Japanese sweets, thin tea, and dessert. Once again, the food was delicious.

At this restaurant, we enjoyed many delicious dishes of the season, such as deep-fried and soaked eggplant, densuke conger eel, junsai, abalone, and unotan. The rice cooked with hairy crab, edamame, and sea urchin was also delicious, and the atmosphere was cool with a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. The tomato and basil sorbet and passion fruit kintsuba, which I had never tried before, were also abundant and delicious. It is truly a blessing to be able to enjoy seasonal foods. Overall, it was a very tasty restaurant.

Tenjinbashi Aoki is a Michelin two-star restaurant in Tenjinbashi 7-chome. Aoki, who trained for 15 years at the famous Honkogetsu restaurant in Osaka, is now an independent Japanese restaurant run by a married couple. The restaurant is not only particular about its cuisine, but also about its tableware, which can be enjoyed with the eyes even after the food is served.
This two Michelin-starred restaurant made Ferran Adrià of El Bulli say it was worth coming to Osaka just to taste this meal.
The atmosphere and the food, which are not available in Tokyo, were not bad considering the price, but I personally thought that the food in Tokyo would be more satisfying in the same price range.
It is a good place to go at least once, but whether or not you will repeat is likely to be decided after the first visit.
