Imobou Hirano-ya Honke is a historic establishment in Kyoto with a history of about 300 years, where you can enjoy 'Imobou' dishes. Since its founding, the 'Imobou' made using a unique cooking method called 'me-fu-daki' with shrimp taro and dried cod has been passed down through generations. You can experience the charm of Kyoto cuisine while dining in a tatami room overlooking the garden, feeling the essence of Kyoto. The rich flavors backed by a long history provide visitors with a special moment.

The meal is sumptuous, especially the imobo. The shrimp potatoes and stick cod are a perfect match, and the potatoes are soft and extremely tasty. It is easy to understand why the people of Kyoto have loved it. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and you can relax and enjoy your meal in a comfortable space. It was a hit with my girlfriend and my appreciation for the restaurant has gone up. It has been a long time since I have had Imobo and I am very satisfied. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

I went as scheduled at 11 o'clock, but I was made to wait for more than 5 minutes. There were no words of apology. Several foreign visitors were taking pictures near the entrance. I did not enter... I enjoyed the food, though.
