A renowned restaurant that evokes the charm of the Showa era

Kamimura is a serene soba restaurant characterized by its exterior and interior that retain the atmosphere of the Showa period. The soba, with its firm texture typical of Tokyo, pairs exquisitely with the dipping sauce, making it especially perfect for hot summer days. The broth, rich in umami from kombu and soy sauce, complements the noodles and curry beautifully, and the hearty miso soup is exceptional. This beloved local establishment offers heartwarming flavors with every visit.

The atmosphere is traditional, and the interior is a cozy layout centered around tables. The noodles are medium-thin and straight with a firm texture, and the soy sauce-based broth has a strong umami flavor from kelp and dried ingredients. The batter of the shrimp tempura is crispy and fragrant with lard, making it a great match with the soba. The curry at the soba shop has a thick consistency that makes you want to keep eating it with a spoon. The miso soup is filled with plenty of ingredients like tofu, green onions, seaweed, nameko mushrooms, thick fried tofu, and radish, providing a comforting taste. Many people enjoy ordering delivery, and it feels like a beloved shop that sometimes has a line outside.
