A Chinese course that is hard to reserve
Dinner with friends♪
I usually go to bistro-style or Western food with my friends, so
I thought it would be nice to try a different genre for a change～
Then, my friend picked this place for us
However, it seems that reservations are very difficult to get
I called on a whim, and they managed to squeeze us in for a later time
The restaurant has only a counter
Of course, I think you can't enter without a reservation
The menu consists of a monthly changing course for 6,000 yen only
I don't know what will be served, so I'm excited
My friend has a shellfish allergy, but it was fine in September
Here’s a quick introduction to the menu
Peanut oil pickles
This was served as an appetizer
It was moist, easy to peel, and easy to eat
I was shocked when they took it away even though I hadn't finished it...
Spicy sauce with small potatoes
It’s a spicy sauce, but the heat is mild
The small potatoes are fluffy, and I love them
Sanma meatballs
Try it out (;ﾟДﾟ)!！
The sanma is concentrated!!
There’s no fishy smell, and it had a meatball-like texture, which was delicious
Eggplant wrapped in pork belly with sesame sauce
The juiciness of the pork belly wraps around the eggplant, making it juicy
The sesame sauce is rich but not overwhelming, and the sesame aroma is really nice
Mushroom sour and spicy soup
In the soup, there are seaweeds as thin as hair
I forgot the name, but it’s a type of seaweed from China
There are plenty of mushrooms, and it feels healthy
The sourness isn’t too strong, making it easy to drink
Stir-fried dried chili with pork belly and duck breast
Duck was served in a Chinese dish!
The duck is moist, and it’s a new discovery for me
Cod roe and tofu
This was the most delicious dish of the day!
It’s very gentle, and the poppiness of the cod roe is super tasty
I could eat it endlessly♪
Homemade fresh gluten and fish maw stir-fried in rich soup
It’s a very rich soup
The fresh gluten is, of course, chewy!
The fish maw has a texture that’s hard to describe, but it’s a new and interesting experience～
Jajangmyeon
It has a strong sweet and spicy miso flavor, and the minced meat is coarsely chopped, giving it a strong presence, and it’s very delicious!!
The cilantro adds an accent that I love, as it clears through my nose～
But some people might not like it, so it might be good to ask...
I like it, so I’m totally fine!!
But I was quite full and panting...
Dessert & Chinese tea
The dessert was probably lotus root and grapes marinated in osmanthus wine?
It was quite refreshing, perfect for hot weather!
I wonder if it was designed to cleanse the palate after such rich dishes?
The Chinese tea was also delicious
That was the course we had
I guess this many dishes come out every month!
Honestly, I think it’s amazing that one person can make all this!
The husband who cooks and the wife who serves are so efficient, it feels great
However, they are so efficient that it feels a bit uncomfortable
But I’m grateful to the staff for making time for us despite the difficulty♪
Of course! I want to visit again♪
I’m looking forward to what kind of dishes will be served next
