The shop, quietly located in the shopping street, has a counter-only interior that immediately creates a calming atmosphere upon entering. A veteran couple skillfully manages the place, providing a sense of homely warmth. The firefly squid and conger eel served as appetizers pair well with the gentle acidity of the plum paste, making it hard to stop eating. The sashimi served in an ice bowl is entertaining as you break the ice lid with a wooden mallet, and the freshness of the abalone, young bluefin tuna, and flatfish was outstanding. There is also a service where the liver of the abalone is grilled to a fragrant finish later, which makes the sake flow freely. The original dish using mushrooms and the grilled squid ink are packed with flavor, and I was completely satisfied all the way to the last clam soup.
