This is a small, traditional izakaya located very close to Okubo Station, where you are enveloped in a warm atmosphere the moment you enter. The couple behind the counter greets you with smiles, and their joking conversation puts you at ease. The sake selection changes daily and is plentiful, poured to the brink of surface tension, which brings a smile to your face. The appetizer of cabbage and shiba-zuke is refreshing and perfect for the first drink. The fried chicken you ordered has a fragrant batter, and the inside is moist, making it go well with beer. The aged menu on strips of paper and the singing of regular customers blend together, making it feel like a place you’ve been visiting for years.
