Located in a quiet place in the mountains, it feels like a different world upon arrival. The interior of the old folk house has a Showa retro atmosphere, with an irori (traditional hearth) and a sewing machine, creating a calming environment. I was able to relax in a seat on the engawa (veranda), listening to the radio and the sounds of frogs. The morisoba (cold soba noodles) were thin and perfectly chilled, and the dipping sauce was refreshing and easy to eat. The vegetable tempura had a light, crispy batter, and the sweet potato was fluffy. The fried river shrimp was also crispy and delicious, and you can enjoy changing the flavor with salt or soba broth.
