A heartwarming izakaya that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city

Yamashiroya is a cozy izakaya located along Showa Street in Akihabara. The interior exudes a nostalgic Showa retro atmosphere, where you can enjoy a variety of dishes while receiving warm hospitality. The chives and egg dish and the house-made potato salad are particularly exquisite, leaving a delicate taste that lingers in your memory.

When I entered, lured by the red lantern, I found a calm atmosphere with a long, narrow floor featuring a counter and table seats. The staff were very kind, and I felt at ease the moment I walked in. The draft beer was served in a glass with fine bubbles, and its smooth taste was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the soft chives omelet and the well-seasoned stir-fried asparagus. The white whale served with vinegar miso had a chewy texture and a slightly sophisticated flavor. There were also carefully measured chuhai cocktails and crispy ham cutlets, making it perfect for enjoying a drink alone at a leisurely pace.
